Joy of Reading Screenplays

Reading a screenplay is like visualising a movie in your mind, before you see it on screen. I remember reading the screenplay of Shawshank Redemption a full year before I watched it as a movie for the first time. It thrilled me both the times. Multiple catharses. Multiple orgasms. Your favourite experience relived multiple times.
You are a movie-maker, making movies in your mind, casting your own favourite stars, travelling to exotic places to shoot. Screenplays are dramas for today’s generation. Reading a good screenplay gives you same insight, similar exhilaration as reading a play by Shakespeare, Sheridan or Shaw.
